With his commercial background, Derek has worked in the construction industry for over 26 years working on a range of projects in various sectors including commercial, industrial, civil and education. For the last 12 years, Derek has worked in the residential market on projects such as care homes, student accommodation and housing ranging in value from £2 million up to £65 million for both housing associations and private clients.
